An initiative to pay the fees of needy students and provide them with smart tablets and stationery supplies

Launched by ‘Dar Al Ber’ at the beginning of the new year

Yesterday morning (Sunday), Dar Al Ber Society launched a large-scale community and humanitarian educational initiative under the slogan ‘Helping a the Student of Knowledge’. Launched in conjunction with the start of the new school year, for the second year in a row, in order to achieve 3 goals, namely the payment of school fees for those students who are unable to pay them and to provide them with smart tablets, to enhance their ability to distance learn and to provide them with stationery supplies and apparatus.

Dar Al Ber confirmed the opening of the doors of donating for businessmen, private and public sector institutions and the general public to participate and support the initiative, under the slogan ‘Giving for Knowledge’, to help students of schools and universities in the country, the children of low-income families and to support them and provide them their needs. In the form of paying their tuition fees and helping to strengthen the educational process of the country, leading to the consolidation of development, growth and sustainability throughout the country.

The Society stated that it will receive donations and contributions towards and in support of the charitable educational initiative via the SMS service, on 6 numbers for the initiative and its aligned fundraising campaign via”Etisalat” and “Du”, each number of which is allocated to a specific donation value, at a value of 2289 10 dirhams, 6025 for the value of 20 dirhams, 2252 for a donation of 50 dirhams, 6027 for a donation of 100 dirhams, and 6026 to support the initiative with 200 dirhams.

In the new academic year, the initiative ‘Helping a student of Knowledge’ aims to raise 600,000 dirhams for the benefit of needy students, half of which is allocated for the payment of tuition fees for them, and the other half to provide them with smart tablet devices. The initiative’s revenues last year amounted to 2,732,333.00 million dirhams, achieving and surpassing the full target amount, which was estimated at a one and half million.

Muhammad Suhail Al Muhairi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber Society, confirmed that the initiative is a civilized project to enhance progress and prosperity of the country and to continue to achieve accomplishments, through the field of  knowledge and education, and on the basis that they are a solid foundation for overcoming the current global crisis, pointing out that philanthropists and good doers giving in charity today is indeed giving for knowledge and students.

‘Helping a Student of Knowledge’ has allocated two bank account numbers to donate and support the initiative, namely 001520500857301 at ‘Dubai Islamic Bank’ and 13438834 at ‘Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank’. Donations can be made to the campaign through the ‘Dar Al Ber’ website and the society’s smart application, in addition to the Society’s toll-free number 80079.
