The outcome of the Islamic Information Center in Dubai ,which affiliates to Dar Al-ber Society, during the holy month of Ramadan has reached 287 activities , events and initiatives launched and organized by the Center. Several communities living inside the state have benefited from them. Among, there were 73 different events and 212 lessons dealt with social and religious issues and themes.
Rashed Al-junaiby, the manager of the center, said: the lists of Ramadan activities included holding Fasting Iftar tent, providing 400 meals daily, organizing cultural programs for the workers’ hostels in the Emirate of Dubai and organizing a lecture titled “Ramadan: The virtues and the provisions” in English , Urdu , Chinese, Indian and Filipino.
According to Ajunaiby, the Islamic Information initiatives during Ramadan month, implied the participation with the Penal and Reform Foundation in Sharjah and the police stations in the Emirate in the introducing campaign to the prisoners with the Holy Ramadan , educating them with its provisions and organizing Iftar for the fasting people of both male and female prisoners in the Penal and Reform Foundation. In addition, the center organized daily religious lessons in English and Filipino about the provisions of Ramadan fasting and interpreting Quran “Amma section” in Ramadan tents just before the time of Iftar.
Aljunaiby pointed out that the center has distributed 25000 bulletins about the provisions and virtues of Ramadan on the various propagation “Daawah” centers in the country and the private and public governmental institutions, and organized Ramadan competitions to introduce the “holy Month” and its provisions and participated in the initiative of the “Tolerance Day” which was organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority “DEWA”.
