51295people in UAE and 36 Countries benefited Last Year Dar Alber Launches Al-Fitr Zakat Project

Dar Alber Society announced opening the door to the people to pay Zakat Al-Fitr from all areas in UAE as a part of its annual seasonal project for the sake of achieving the legitimate, social, charitable and humanitarian goals of the Islamic duty. This harmonizes with the state policy, its vision and the guidance of the prudent leadership, confirming also that Zakat is possible to be paid through “Dubai Now” App
The society pointed out that the project covers the process of receiving zakat and distributing it to its beneficiaries who are entitled to it by the Sharia within the UAE and abroad in many countries around the world. However, the “Daily Food Project” provides the families with foodstuff according to the main food for each country which includes: rice, flour, corn and millet
Mohammad Suhail Almuhairy , member of the Board of Directors and the head of the Social Services Sector in Dar alber, confirmed that the Society harnesses its competent crews and launches its intensive efforts to achieve Zakat Al-Fitr project perfectly ,and according to the Sharia regulations a day or two before Eid to guarantee delivering it to its beneficiaries under the great and important role for Zakat, religiously, socially and humanly
Almuhairy pointed out that the amount of Zakat Al-Fitr is 20 AED per person. The Sharia set the day of Eid just before the prayer of Eid as the best time for paying Zakat , however, it is legitimately permissible to pay it a day or two before Eid. Accordingly, the Society and its counterparts can collect and distribute it to its beneficiaries in sufficient time towards bringing joy and happiness to the beneficiary families
Dar Alber’s records indicate that the Society’s distribution for Zakat Al-Fitr within the state last year ,2018, was through 12 locations in different emirates of UAE. The beneficiaries from the project , then, were 9070 people with total cost of 800000 AED. At the same time, the Society distributed in 36 countries benefitting 42,225 beneficiaries at a cost of 1,256,484 AED in cooperation with 48 accredited charitable societies and organizations under the supervision and follow-up of UAE embassies’ umbrella
