The She Leads Accelerator, an initiative of Creative Zone and Dubai Business Women Council, held the first of the twelve webinars. The session titled ‘Business Launchpad’ was conducted by Humaira Ali, Director, Intuitive change and covered all-important tenets for a successful business launch.
The one-hour session centered around the two most crucial and often overlooked tools of the pre-launch stage, the Business Model Canvas and Project Plan. It is an overview as well as a comprehensive guide that every entrepreneur needs to invest in, in order to obtain a strong chance at successfully launching her business. The two components enable business owners to predict and solve problems before they even arise.
“Two of the most critical tools in a startup are the Business Model Canvas and a full project plan which includes the business case. They help articulating one’s business proposition and it’s model on one page, and gives one the tools to provide a comprehensive business case and ensure that all bases are covered, as you go from idea to implementation” quoted Humaira Ali.
During the session, a few participants were invited to speak about their business and share insights; steering attendees into creating social media groups and platforms to take the conversation further and explore ways to assist one another in their respective ventures. The participants also benefitted from the networking portal of Creative Zone ‘CZ Connect’, where they will connect with like-minded entrepreneurs and startup owners. They also learned about the opportunities provided to them by the Dubai Business Women Council, a platform that supports the business women community form a learning and development perspective.
