Al Habtoor Tennis Academy co-organises second edition of Beach Tennis championship in Dubai on 21-22 February

The UAE is all set to experience its next beach tennis event — the Beach Tennis Championship, organised by Beach Tennis Emirates in collaboration with Al Habtoor Tennis Academy (AHTA) and partly hosted by Habtoor Grand Resort — on 21 and 22 February 2020.
Featuring men’s, women’s and mixed doubles events, a Masters 40+ and 16 & Under categories, the tournament will give players and spectators a chance to enjoy the pleasant weather period while taking in some expert racquet skills over the tournament weekend.
With a total prize money of AED 6,000, the ranked tournament under Tennis Emirates is expected to attract up to 100 players, competing on 16 x 8 m courts, with a net height of 1.70 m. Adult players can register for a fee of AED 150 and juniors for AED 100. Matches will take place from 10 am until sunset over the two days. The duration of each game played will be approximately 40 minutes, with best of three sets and the last one a super tie break.
Entry is open to all in this second edition of the Beach Tennis Championship as the organisers hope to attract more participants and fans for the sport in the UAE as well as turn Dubai into an international hub for beach tennis competitions. BTE and AHTA will lend its expertise in tennis and tournament organisation to facilitate and promote the event.
With a focus on expanding happiness and wellbeing through the sport, Habtoor Grand Resort will be one of the hosting venues, providing the perfect setting for the competition and bringing value-add for participants and spectators through its F&B and leisure offerings. Participating players, who will receive a welcome pack, Spectators and family members are welcome to join at minimum cost of 60 AED that includes a food voucher. Transform Altitute Performance Center will provide the Prize money, while McLaren Dubai is the tournament’s medal and apparel sponsors.
