His Excellency Mirza Al Sayegh, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation and Director of the Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, handed Al Maktoum Foundation’s donation cheque worth AED300,000 to Dr. Behjat Al Yousuf, Vice-President of Zayed University, to support the Student Solidarity Fund.
Al Sayegh praised the University’s ongoing efforts to become regionally recognized for excellence in educational innovation, research, and student leadership development, which directly meets the leadership aspirations in forming and educating a new generation, capable of leading their nation in economic, social and cultural advancements.
For her part, Al Yousuf portrayed appreciation to the foundation’s efforts, which is part of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, as it enables students to continue their role in advancing the country’s educational and scientific development.
The fund financially assists 33 underprivileged students, as it supports them participation in international conferences, competitions and events, throughout the current academic year 2019-2020.
