Sallam Sallam
The Dubai Business Women Council, DBWC, has launched its new smart app for its members and the wider community, in a bid to keep up with the requirements of the current stage and enhance the quality, speed, and efficiency of services provided for its members.
The user-friendly app is designed in accordance with the best international practices and standards, reflecting the DBWC’s commitment to moving towards the digitalization of its services and activities. The app enables the DBWC members to access all the services, activities, and check out the upcoming events the Council offers.
Packed with numerous features, the new platform offers users a wide range of services to seamlessly run their businesses and to find out more about exclusive and tailor-made training sessions, seminars, and workshops delivered by industry experts.
Through the “member’s directory” section, members of the Council can get in touch and stay connected with other members, while the “special offers” section provides members and their businesses with more visibility when they post special offers on the Council’s website.
There’s also an online library of business resources, where members can download some of the presentation slides from the exclusive workshops and seminars that were hosted at the Council.
The platform also allows members to refer a friend or colleague to sign up for an annual membership, while members will get a 3-month extension to their existing membership.
Among other features is the Membership Badge, where members of the Council can download and use the official membership badge during the tenure of their membership.
Using the app, members can also share their success stories, update their membership profiles as well as pay for their membership renewal.
Some features of the app are available for nonmembers, including registration for events, a list of offers, membership application, and referral of people to DBWC through the DBWC “refer a friend” form.
Enriching members’ experience
Commenting on the app launch, Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager, DBWC, “The Council recognizes the importance of smart apps in enriching members’ experience to fully benefit from our services and that the digital transformation has become an integral part of the business world.”
Halabi added: “At the DBWC, our main purpose is to promote the empowerment of businesswomen and female entrepreneurs. We also believe that new technologies would help enhance our experiences and our efforts in serving our members. The new app provides members and nonmembers as well with high-quality services and is considered a step forward towards the digital transformation of our services to be accessible by our members wherever they are.”
Established in 2002, under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the DBWC is the UAE’s leading platform for the personal and professional development of businesswomen in the Emirate of Dubai. Since its establishment, the Council has dedicated its efforts to encouraging women to play an active role in building the country and stimulating sustainable development.
