Dragon Oil Showcases Its Sustainability Vision from Dubai to the World… Concluding Its Participation at WETEX & World Green Economy Summit 2025

Dragon Oil, a wholly owned subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Government of Dubai, concluded its participation as a Principal Sponsor at WETEX 2025 and as a Gold Sponsor of the World Green Economy Summit, by unveiling a comprehensive sustainability strategy aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing operational efficiency across its global operations.
The new strategy is built around key pillars such as environmental preservation, improving carbon and energy efficiency, ensuring business continuity, promoting sustainable innovation, and broadening the scope of social responsibility. It also reflects Dragon Oil’s commitment to community development through initiatives in education, healthcare, and sustainability.
On this occasion, Eng. Abdulkarim Ahmed Al Mazmi, Acting CEO of Dragon Oil, said:
“Dragon Oil continues to uphold its strong commitment to reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency through the adoption of advanced, cleaner technologies, while also supporting the well-being of the communities in which we operate. In Turkmenistan, we are pursuing a clear plan to gradually reduce emissions by 2028. In Egypt, we have achieved near-complete gas utilization, reducing emissions almost to zero. Meanwhile, in Iraq, emissions have been significantly curtailed with the operation of the new Central Processing Facility, which has also contributed to the production of condensates, dry gas, and LPG.”
Eng. Abdulkarim Ahmed Al Mazmi further emphasized that WETEX & the World Green Economy Summit provided an ideal platform for Dragon Oil to showcase its achievements and share its vision for the future. He reaffirmed the company’s position as a national energy asset wholly owned by the Government of Dubai, with operations extending across Turkmenistan, Egypt, and Iraq.
