FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV), Malaysia’s premier food and agri-business company recently participated in Gulfood 2023, which was held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 20 to 24 February. The company’s stronger participation was a testament to its commitment to establishing a solid presence in the global food market in line with its vision to delivering sustainable foods and agriproducts to the world.
FGV has been participating in Gulfood since 2014, and this year, the Group had a larger exhibition booth, supported by over 30 ground staff. The booth was part of the Malaysia pavilion in collaboration with Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE). During the 5- day event, FGV generated approximately RM30 million in order enquiries, mainly for FGV’s Refined Bleached Deodorised (RBD) Palm Olein, as well as its fats products such as margarine, shortening, and vegetable ghee.
This success is a testament to FGV’s commitment to establishing a solid presence in the global food market. Furthermore, the demand for Malaysian F&B products in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region has been growing in popularity, making it one of the strongest areas for FGV’s business expansion. Currently, FGV’s export products are sold in packed size to international traders and direct buyers.
