As part of its participation at GITEX Technology Week 2019, the Ministry of Community Development signed two memorandum of understandings, the first with “Ynmo” Digital platform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish “People of Determination Empowerment Platform”, which comes in the context of the development of an electronic platform that increases the efficiency and effectiveness of support, supervision and rehabilitation for the people of determination, and the second with Dubai Blockchain Center entitled “Cooperation in the Field of Modern Technologies”, in an effort to provide technical expertise and and consultancy services to the Ministry and enhance awareness campaigns about the new information technology techniques “Blockchain”.
The first memorandum of understanding was signed by Excellency Nasser Ismail, Assistant Undersecretary for Community Care at the Ministry of Community Development, and Dr. Fahad Bin Mohammad Al Sheikh Al Nemari, General Supervisor of Ynmo Platform, to provide consultancy services and technical support in accordance with highest quality standards to develop a digital system that allows the design, follow-up and archiving of the educational individual services for the people of determination in order to raise the efficiency and effectiveness of the people of determination rehabilitation services that are supervised and supported by the Ministry. The purpose is to achieve the pillars of the national policy for empowering people of determination with regards to education and vocational rehabilitation.
The memorandum of understanding aimed for exploring various performance indicators in the centers that provide educational and rehabilitation services for the people of determination, identifying the challenges facing education and rehabilitation service providers, proposing adequate solutions, and evaluating the capacity of the support and supervision systems that respond to the aspirations and needs of people of determination categories, families and beneficiaries. The memorandum of understanding specified the ministry’s responsibility to provide an integrated team to discuss the current situation and aspirations, and provide servers according to the
required specifications, while “Ynmo Digital Platform” will install an integrated electronic platform that increases the efficiency and effectiveness of educational and rehabilitation services provided to the people of determination and carry out the task Training and consulting.
On this occasion, Excellency Nasser Ismail, stated that signing the two memorandum of understandings enhance the efforts of the Ministry of Community Development to achieve the vision of the 2021 UAE government in providing comprehensive and continuous support to all the members of the community through a number of active initiatives, efforts and visions to transfer from community care to community development and achieve sustainable development all over the UAE. He also added that the Ministry is very keen to intensify efforts and partnerships that achieve human welfare, ensure that social services are provided with proactive thinking and an innovative, sustainable and high quality image.
Furthermore, Dr. Fahad Bin Mohammad Al Sheikh Al Nemari, stated that the memorandum of understanding to establish the “People of Determination Empowerment Platform” within the efforts of the Ministry of Community Development to develop a digital system that allows the design, follow-up and archiving of the educational individual services for the people of determination in implementation of the best international and professional practices that contribute to the rationalization of support, supervision and decision-making based on evidence.
The second memorandum of understanding entitled “Cooperation in Modern Technologies”, was signed by Saeed Abdulla, Information Technology Advisor at the Ministry of Community Development and Dr. Marwan Ibrahim Al Zarooni, CEO of Dubai Blockchain Center. The MOU aimed to ensure the achievement of community development goals set in the 2021 national agenda and strategy plan, strengthen coordination and integrated roles particularly joint programs in Blockchain, big data and artificial intelligence programs and at the same time coordinate roles for joint tasks and technical consultancy.
Furthermore, Dr. Marwan Ibrahim Al Zarooni, said: “The memorandum of understanding in the “Cooperation in Modern Technology Field” with the Ministry of Community Development comes in the context of integrated efforts to support the UAE government’s strategy. We at, Dubai Blockchain Center, are very pleased to be proactive providers of technical solutions in the field of blockchain, to all federal and local government entities in particular to the Ministry of Community Development, through providing technology consultancy and innovative solutions necessary to achieve the ministry’s development goals in serving the nation and country”.
