Sheikh Fatima Quran competition with 24 memorizers examined

Up to 24 out 68 full Quran female memorizers have sat the final tests of the 4th edition of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition.
These included 12 on the first day and 12 on the second, according to the latest figures released.
The competition, being held at the Cultural & Scientific Association, Al Mamzar, Dubai, saw the presence of H.E Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, and members of the Organizing Committee.
Also present were Dr. Saeed Abdullah Hareb, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee, members of the organizing committee, contestants, along with parents, dignitaries, and guests.
The competitors examined on Sunday, November 3, 2019 – morning session, included Samira Hassan Mohamed, Kenya, Mosala Kadidja Mbenga, Congo Democratic Rep, Halima Meraou, Algeria, Sumaya Igihozo, Rwanda, Aishat Muhammad Aminu, Nigeria, and Fatumata Mane, Guinia Bissau.
The evening session saw Said Ilzam, Union Des Comores, Bokoum Mariata, Guinea Conakry, Asil A.M. Abusalah, Palestine, Wahida Hafsa, Bangladesh, Fatma Maalej, Tunisia, and Fathimath Shaya Zahir, Maldives.
All participants were over thrilled to take part in the 4th edition of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition. “It is an ultimate honour for anyone to chip in this prestigious award which is a global leading hub for full Quran memorizers from around the globe,” they said.
H.E Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, said the competition is seeing a stiff competition in terms of tight memorization and tuneful recitation.
“The astounding success of the competition locally and worldwide is mainly due to the blessing of Almighty Allah, and then the unlimited and generous support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.”
Dubai, every year, sees a number of key Quran competitions, he added. “On top of these is the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition which is one of the biggest Quran contests for female memorizers.”
