In support of the UAE’s initiatives to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and in cooperation with the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, CAFU will provide all ambulances owned by the corporation with free fuel for a period of two weeks. As part of the initiative, CAFU will deliver petrol on-demand to the corporation’s fleet of ambulances that operate in over 100 locations across Dubai, bringing contactless fuel delivery to frontline health workers, eliminating the need to go to a petrol station.
A Dubai born start-up, CAFU is the region’s first on-demand fuel delivery app and since its launch, has provided motorists with an innovative and convenient service that brings fuel to wherever they are, whenever they want, saving them time and effort as it means no more queuing up at petrol stations.
“CAFU has evolved into an essential part of people’s lives since its launch; we now have 180 trucks covering Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. CAFU is designed as a contactless service – our pilots can come and fuel up your car wherever you are and at your convenient time, minimizing your exposure to any physical contact while still ensuring your car is always fueled up,” said Rashid Al Ghurair, Founder and CEO of CAFU. Commenting on the initiative, Al Ghurair said that CAFU is proud to support the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services in this noble cause and ensure their ambulance operations are carried out uninterrupted. “It is important to come together as a community and support each other during this critical time,” he added.
For his part, Khalifa Bin Dray, Executive Director of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, said, “We are deeply thankful for CAFU’s efforts with this remarkable initiative. This is a true testament of the UAE’s ability to show determination and unity between members of the society to battle and defeat this pandemic. This cooperation is line with the directives of our wise leadership to bolster the cooperation between governmental and private sectors in order to prevent the spread of this disease.”
