PR Unit puts final touches on Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Int’l Holy Quran Competition, 3rd edition

The Public Relations Unit of the organising committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) has held an extensive meeting with the supervisors of all groups and teams, as well as male and female volunteers.

The meeting has been in preparation for the third edition of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition slated to run at the Scientific and Cultural Association at Al Mamzar area, Dubai, on November 04 -16.

Present were Ibrahim Mohamed Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Head of DIHQA Organising Committee, Khalid Hassan Al Marzouqi, Deputy Head of the PR Unit, and Mohammed Ali Al Hammadi, Head of IT Unit and HR Unit.

They attendees a detailed discussion on the latest preparations of all groups and teams, and talked over the suggestions and remarks received to ensure a big success of the much-awaited global competition.

H.E. Bu Melha welcomed all the teams and volunteers and wished them all the best in serving the guests of the UAE, including the memorisers of the Holy Quran, their assistants, and the renowned scholars, and arbitrators.

“The contestants will be competing in this international competition which is named after the “Mother of the Nation” H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, God protect her.”

The UAE people and entire world have and show all respect and appreciation to this name and great personality, he added. “Her outstanding role, distinguished efforts, and great services in supporting the needy in all fields, with special consideration for Islam and Muslims, speak volume.”

Khalid Al Marzouqi sent his regards to all teams and volunteers on behalf of Eng. Sami Gargash, Member of the DIHQA Organising Committee and Head of the PR Unit, and wished them all the best.

He urged them to exert their utmost effort and best receive and welcome all guests of the country. “We are all urged to spare no effort in bringing happiness to our guests, and ensuring a comfortable stay for them all.”

Later, all due tasks have been assigned to the supervisors of the groups and volunteers, each in their respective fields.

Adel Abdulrahman was assigned to supervise the reception functions at the airport, while Mohammed Ibrahim is to take care of housing and catering services, and Adel Al Rumaihi is to supervise all transport affairs.

Osman Ahmed Al Marzouqi has been assigned as a coordinator for administrative relations, Amira Al Khatibi Al Falasi is to supervise all female volunteers, while Ziad Al Zain is to supervise the operations room that interconnects all groups.

At the end of the meeting, the Public Relations Unit thanked H.E Ibrahim Mohamed Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Head of DIHQA Organising Committee, and all members of the Organizing Committee for their relentless efforts and passion to provide and secure all necessary requirements to ensure a dazzling launch of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition.
